Again, here we are on the floor of Ngorongoro Crater within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania. This was a group of three female lions (only two of which are visible in this photo), each with a litter of cubs. The ages of the 9 cubs varied from about 3 weeks to 6 weeks. These animals passed so close to our vehicle that we could have reached out and touched the female as she walked by. The cubs passed UNDER our vehicle.
