Illegal Spam

I am sorry that you received SPAM that appeared to originate from mattmetz.com. You may or may not know that it is very easy to create e-mail messages that APPEAR to come from any site, even though they are sent from somewhere else.

Occasionally, someone has been sending out spam PRETENDING to come from this domain. Please understand I did NOT send those e-mails. I am making every effort to find out who actually originated these messages.

However, to assist in finding the perpetrators, I suggest you contact your local ISP (internet service provider - such as Cox, AOL, etc.) and ask for their assistance in finding out the real source of these messages. They may be able to look at the detailed header information on the e-mails you received to help find the responsible parties.

I had NOTHING to do with these messages,
They were not sent from my domain or web site, and
I am currently powerless to stop them.

I regret any inconvenience you have experienced as a result of this inappropriate and illegal use of my domain name.
